2. Borrowing Policies

  • Loan Period & Limits: Standard library books are issued for a 21-day period and may be renewed as needed. Students are permitted to check out up to three books at once (excluding ELA novels and textbooks). Additional materials may be borrowed to meet specific curriculum requirements.
  • Overdue Notices & Fees: Automated reminder notices are sent three days prior to the due date, followed by overdue alerts at 7 and 21 days. Items overdue by 21 days are classified as lost, and replacement costs will be billed to the student's PowerSchool account. Should a lost item be returned in good condition within 60 days of payment, the charge will be reversed as a credit on the account.
  • Additional Equipment: Calculators are also available for loan from the LLC.

3. Textbooks & English Language Arts (ELA) Novels

  • Checkout & Duration: All ELA novels and textbooks are assigned to individual students for the full semester.
  • Damage & Loss Fees: Students will be billed for items that are unreturned, lost or significantly damaged (such as missing pages, excessive markings, or water damage). Normal wear and tear on older materials is expected and will be evaluated by library staff.
  • Refunds & Credits: If a lost or paid-for item is returned in good condition within 60 days of payment, the fee will be refunded as a credit on the student's PowerSchool account.
