Congratulations Principal Lake!

Mr. Lake received the Distinguished Leadership Award, through the ATA and he was honoured last Friday.

"What struck me immediately was that Dan leads differently. He leads through relationships.

As the founding principal of a new school, Dan built more than a building and a timetable—he built a community. One where students feel seen, staff feel valued, and everyone is challenged to be their best. His leadership is rooted in trust, compassion, and a genuine belief in the potential of others.

I’ve watched Dan have difficult conversations with students that were grounded not in punishment, but in dignity and accountability. I’ve watched him walk the halls, check in with staff, celebrate successes, and quietly support people through challenges. These moments may seem small, but they are the foundation of a strong school culture."

We are very proud of our exceptional principal, Mr. Lake. Thank you, Mr. Gabinet, for nominating him for this recognition.
